Ali Friedman is a Seattle native and alumnus of the Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club. Ali is experienced in building and growing mission-driven organizations. She is a passionate fundraiser, team leader and development strategist.
Ali joins Boys & Girls Clubs of King County after spending over five years at Year Up Puget Sound, a workforce development organization working with youth ages 18-24 here in Puget Sound and across the country. Ali joined Year Up as its founding Senior Director of Development, and most recently worked in a regionally-facing role as Senior Director of Philanthropy. With a mission to close the opportunity divide, her work at Year Up brought together two of Ali's great passions: education and community building. These same passions bring her to Boys & Girls Clubs of King County.
Before Year Up, Ali managed individual giving at Solid Ground, a large anti-poverty organization in Seattle focusing on ending homelessness and hunger for families and individuals, and also worked in fundraising in organizations in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Boston, MA.
Ali holds a BA from the University of Oregon, and an MBA in non-profit management from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
