History

Boys & Girls Club of Bainbridge Island is a dedicated youth service agency alingned with Bainbridge Island School District serving young people ages 5 to 18. Services include after school and Parent/Teacher conference day drop-in activities as well as summer, winter and spring full-day camps for Club members.

Participation in any of our programs requires only a Boys & Girls Club membership ($50/year) and a minimal program fee. The Club also offers volunteer and community service opportunities for teens and adults.

We received our official charter from Boys & Girls Clubs of America in 1999 and have grown to a membership of over 400 youth. After years in temporary locations, a capital campaign and collaborative arrangement with the Bainbridge Island Parks & Recreation District resulted in the construction of our first dedicated home at the Bainbridge Aquatics Center in October 2002.

In May 2015, we moved to a larger facility in Coppertop Business Park and picked up almost 6000 more square feet of program space! We now serve an average of 80-120 a day.
