There are many ways to get involved with the Bainbridge Island Boys & Girls Club. A contribution of your time is a wonderful way to make a difference.
Volunteers must complete a volunteer application. To help directly with kids, background checks are a legal requirement that ensure member safety and must be completed prior to volunteer placement.
Please contact our Program Director, Liam McEvilly, to find out what volunteer opportunities we have and where your time can make the biggest impact.
A partial list of general volunteer opportunities can be found on our main site. Here are specific volunteer opportunities at the Bainbridge Island Club:
Power Half Hour Volunteer (School Year)
Today's families are pulled in all directions, and it is often difficult for parents to take enough time out of their day to help their child with homework. Having this time set aside every day at the Club is important in order to keep members on track at school and help them graduate on time. Volunteers are needed to help with homework assistance, tutoring, storytelling, internet research, tech support and general supervision.
Special Events Volunteer
We host a few fundraising and friend-raising events throughout the year, such as our annual dinner auction and gala and the Pumpkin Walk in October at Bainbridge Gardens. Many hands are appreciated to make these events successful. So if you are interested in helping, we would love to have you.
Join Our Board
Our Advisory Board is made up of committed community members who help us fulfill our mission statement every day by organizing special events and other fundraising activities as well as spreading the word about the Club in the community. Please contact our Club Executive Director, Derrick Capdeville, for more information about getting involved.
