Teen Room Drop-In Program
Our Teen Room is open for drop-in every day after school until 7:30 p.m. when school is in session. Examples of what happens each day of the week:*
Mondays: Game Tournaments—Join us for billiard and ping pong tournaments starting at 4 p.m., followed by random trivia with prizes.
Tuesdays: Movies—View a recent release or a timeless classic in 5.1 Dolby surround sound on a 50" plasma TV!
Wednesdays: Field Trips—Get out and about on various field trips, both educational and recreational. These casual trips are during Club hours. Members must have a permission slip completed and signed by a parent or guardian.
Thursdays: Video Games—Check out our Xbox 360 and Kinect to see if you've got what it takes to be a true rock star while playing Rockband—or get your dance on with Dance Central.
Fridays: Teen's Choice—Teens choose what we do…play video games, watch a movie or play a kids vs. teen game. Come and help choose!
*All activities are examples and subject to change.
Be a Teen Tutor!
We encourage teens to tutor younger kids with reading, writing, comprehension and mathematic skills. This is a great opportunity for teens to get involved in the community and take on a mentoring and leadership role. Not only do teens benefit from this program, but the younger kids are shown the importance of education by youth they look up to.
Teen nights are a safe way for teens in the community to spend a Friday night. Enjoy food, basketball, pool, games, DJ dancing and so much more! Teen Nights are held once a month on a Friday during the school year, usually from 8 to 11 p.m. Admission is $6. Contact the Club for information on this month's date for Teen Night at. Student ID is required at the door.
Torch Club is a community service focused group that serves the Kirkland area. We have done service projects such as sending cards and cookies to the troops in Iraq, decorating donation boxes and visiting retirement homes. Grades 6-8 are welcome! Meetings take place every Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Club Teen Center.
Keystone is a community service focused group that serves the Club and surrounding area. Our service projects in the past have included putting on events such as fundraisers, Parents' Night Out and Teen Night. We have also spent a lot of time volunteering at a youth shelter in Seattle. Teens in grades 9-12 are welcome. Meetings take place every Thursday at from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Club Teen Center.
