Summer Camp Program
We had a fantastic Summer 2017 program, filled with trips to local museums, splash parks, hiking, swimming, and much more. Thanks to all our members and friends that made it such a great time. You can see highlights on our Facebook page.
We will have general information about our Summer 2018 program by February 1, 2018 and registration will begin March 1, 2018. The information below is for reference and may change prior to registration time. Please be sure to call the Club if you have more specific questions about summer camp or summer registration.
Our summer program for grades K-5 includes a variety of daily activities at the Club for each age group, such as gym games, arts & crafts, walking trips to the park, outside play, learning activities, a daily reading time, and more. Lunch will be served at no cost to members every day at 11:30 a.m. For most of the day, members are broken up by age (grades K-1; grades 2-3; grades 4-5) and each group rotates through the Club areas throughout the day.
Field Trips are offered 3-4 times per week and camp participants will participate in all field trips corresponding to their grade. Because we serve a variety of ages, staff make every effort to plan a wide array of age-appropriate field trips. The summer field trip and activity schedules are subject to change.
We also offer activities for members in grades 6-12. These teen members can spend time in the teen center, gym and gamesroom, among other activities. We offer several field trips per week to our teen members, which are optional and fee-for-service.

Counselor-in-Training (C.I.T.) Information
Are you heading into grade 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 this fall? Do you need volunteer hours for middle school or high school credit? If so, Wallingford Boys & Girls Club may be the place for you during the summer. We utilize C.I.T.s all summer long to help us monitor activities, support academic enrichment programs, supervise field trips, provide administrative support, serve lunch and snack, and in general help out at the Club all summer long. A C.I.T. application will be available for download by March 1, 2018. Please contact Eric Kirby at the Club with any questions.
Skyhawks Sports Camps
Wallingford Boys & Girls Club does not run formal sports camps but we partner with a local leader to provide them to youth. Skyhawks Sports Academy provides quality youth sports programs including baseball, basketball, football and tennis. The programs offered through WBGC are on location at Wallingford Boys & Girls Club, as well as nearby Lower Woodland Park and B.F. Day Playfield. Please note that WBGC does not offer any transportation to or from Skyhawks camps, but participants in the Basketball camps are welcome to join our Drop-in program when the camp ends each day.
To register for a Skyhawks Sports Camp, or to get more detailed information about camps, including times and sports curriculum, please go to www.skyhawks.com. If you are not a current member of WBGC, please note that fees below will be increased by $50 (for WBGC membership).
