On Saturday, February 23, 2019, 150 community members gathered at the Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club to honor eight exceptional teens for their accomplishments in leadership, service, academic excellence, and dedication to live a healthy lifestyle.

Judges chose two outstanding teens for awards: Piper S. of the Ballard neighborhood was named King County Youth of the Year, and Adam W. of Sammamish was awarded the Quincy Robertson Service & Leadership Award.

The Quincy Robertson Service & Leadership Award recognizes an individual Youth of the Year finalist who has clearly demonstrated excellence in serving their Club and community as a youth. This award is named after Quincy Robertson, who spent his 39-year career serving youth and his community in countless ways.

Youth of the Year was a terrific opportunity to learn about the impact of our Clubs first-hand from long-time members. All of our events rely on support from sponsors, and we’re so grateful for sponsor support!
