In partnership with the Seattle Seahawks, Gamechangers is a Club program for teens with five in-person events, focused on fun and motivation on Friday nights. Starting October 1 and ending with a Seahawks Game Day experience on January 2, teens from Clubs across greater Seattle gather for creativity, games, and learning experiences with Seahawks partners.
- Jordan Babineaux, former Seahawks player and author of Pivot to Win
- Courtney Thompson, former University of Washington volleyball player and Olympian
- Mental Health Workshop
- Career Panel Discussion with Seahawks employees and Stadium Tour
- Seahawks Game Day Experience on January 2
At the kick-off event on October 1, 110 teens came to the Wallingford Club, representing our Wallingford, Ballard, North Seattle, Rotary, Mercer Island, and Bainbridge Clubs. Seahawks announcer Gee Scott and former Seahawks player Ben Obomanu talked to the youth about resilience and then broke into teams for dodgeball. One lucky Club member won $40 from Gee for getting out Obomanu!
After enjoying pizza and soda, teens explored different stations set up at the Club including a video game room, a spa room, a Ga Ga Ball room (a Club favorite game), a movie room, and more.
Excited to have a fun Friday night activity, teens also got to hang out with Club members across greater Seattle!
