SUMMER OPEN AND CLOSED DATES 

The first day of summer camp is Monday, June 20. 

We are closed on Monday, July 4th. (This week will be pro-rated). 

The last week of camp is August 22-26. 

We will be closed the week before the first day of school (August 29-September 2). 

Priority summer registration for currently enrolled Ballard after school families will open on Tuesday, February 1st at 7pm. Those who attended an athletic program in the 2021-22 school year will have priority registration for athletic camps at this time as well. 

Returning families who attended summer camp at Ballard in 2021 will have registration open on Tuesday, February 8th at 7pm. 

General registration for all families will open on Tuesday, February 15th at 7pm.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES 

You can sign up for individual weeks, so feel free to mix and match our day camp and sports camp options! 

K-5th Graders 

Who: Children split into classrooms of K-1st, 2-3rd, 4-5th. Please register for the grade your child is entering in Fall 2022. 

What: Daily activities at the Club, and field trips to parks and attractions in our community. (Prefer sports camps? Scroll down!) 

When: Monday-Friday; Core hours 9:30-3:30, drop off between 7am-9:30, pickup between 3:30-6pm 

Where: We will be going to parks, pools and attractions around the Seattle Area 3-4 days a week. 

How much: $315 per week 

Day camp is structured similarly to our no-school days during the school year. The detailed schedule for each week will be published and emailed as the summer gets closer. 

Children will be placed in groups according to their grade- please register for the grade your child is entering in Fall 2022. We have multiple classrooms per grade, so if your child wants to be with their friend, please indicate a buddy request in the notes of your registration! 

 

Sports Camps 

Who: Mini Sports: entering K-3rd grade; Elite Sports: entering 4-8th grade; Baseball: entering 4rd-8th grade (Elite Baseball: 6th-8th) 

What: The weeks with a specific sport theme will also include other activities, but the majority of camp time will be dedicated to that specific sport. 

When: Monday- Friday; Core hours 9:30-3:30, drop off between 7am-9:30, pickup between 3:30-6pm. 

Where: Sports camps take place at the Club, in our gym, Salmon Bay park, Salmon Bay school field and some weeks may take a field trip!  

How much: $305 per week

Middle School 

Who: Middle Schoolers entering 6th-8th grade for Fall 2022 

What: Daily activities including four field trips a week to attractions and parks in and around Seattle. Our homebase for the week is at the Ballard Boys & Girls Club where there will be games, active and creative options.   

When: Monday-Friday; Core hours 9:30-3:30, drop off between 7am-9:30, pickup between 3:30-6pm 

Where: Our homebase is the Ballard Boys & Girls Club, and we will be taking field trip in and around Seattle.  

How much: $325 per week, $345 for week 9 Wild Waves week. 

To promote personal responsibility and trust building, we give our teens additional privileges as part of our summerprogram. Teens are allowed to bring up to $25 to spend on field trips, and use approved electronic devices during our free time period each day. 

 

High School 

CIT Program 

The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program is designed to help high schoolers build leadership skills and gain applicable job experience in a supportive and fun environment. Teens entering 9th through 12th grades can apply.  See below for the 2022 application and the info letter directed towards families.

  • April 22: Acceptance/Rejection letters go out 
  • June 7 or 9 (6-8 pm): CIT Training 101 
  • June 14 or 16 (6-8 pm): CIT Training 102 
  • June 20-August 26: Summer Camps 

This program requires a three-week commitment as well as a mandatory training prior to the beginning of summer.
