SUMMER  OPEN AND CLOSED DATES 

The first day of summer camp is Wendesday, July 5, 2023 (This week will be pro-rated). 

The last week of camp is August 21-25. 

We will be closed the week before the first day of school (August 28-September 6).

SUMMER  ACTIVITIES 

You can sign up for individual weeks, so feel free to mix and match our day camp and sports camp options! 

K-5th Graders 

Who: Children split into classrooms of K-1st, 2-3rd, 4-5th. Please register for the grade your child is entering in Fall 2023.

What: Daily activities on the field and gym, crafts in the classroom, sprinklers in the afternoon, and trips to local parks and other attractions! (Prefer sports camps? Scroll down!)

When: Monday-Friday; Core hours 9:30-3:30, drop off between 7am-9:30, pickup between 3:30-6pm
NOTE: no partial-week camps offered this year

Where: We will be going to parks, pools and attractions around the Seattle Area 4 days a week.

How much: $350 per week

Kids will be going on fieldtrips 4 days a week and will have 1 club day. The detailed schedule for each week will be published and emailed as the summer gets closer.

Children will be placed in groups according to their grade – please register for the grade your child is entering in Fall 2023. We have multiple classrooms per grade, so if your child wants to be with their friend, please indicate a buddy request in the notes of your registration!  

Sports Camps 

Who: Mini Sports: entering 1st-3rd grade; Elite Sports: entering 4th-8th grade; Baseball/Softball: entering 3rd-7th grade; Happy Feet: entering K-3rd grade

What: The weeks with a specific sport theme will also include other activities, but the majority of camp time will be dedicated to that specific sport.

When: Monday- Friday; Core hours 9:30am-3:30pm, drop off between 7am-9:30am, pickup between 3:30pm-6pm.

Where: Sports camps take place at the Club, in our gym, Salmon Bay park, Salmon Bay school field, and some weeks may take a field trip!

How much: $325 per week

Middle School 

Who: Middle Schoolers entering 6th-8th grade for Fall 2023

What: Daily activities including four field trips a week to attractions and parks in and around Seattle. Our homebase for the week is at the Ballard Boys & Girls Club where there will be games, active and creative options.

When: Monday-Friday; Core hours 9:30-3:30, drop off between 7am-9:30, pickup between 3:30-6pm

Where: Our home-base is the Ballard Boys & Girls Club, and we will be taking field trip in and around Seattle.

How much: $360 per week, $380 for week 8 Wild Waves week.

To promote personal responsibility and trust building, we give our teens additional privileges as part of our summer program. Teens are allowed to bring up to $25 to spend on field trips, and use approved electronic devices during our free time period each day.

High School 

CIT Program 

The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program is designed to help high schoolers build leadership skills and gain applicable job experience in a supportive and fun environment. Teens entering 9th through 12th grades can apply. See below for the 2023 application and the info letter directed towards families.

Key Dates for 2023: 

• February 28: Informational meeting at the Ballard club at 6:30 pm
• March 22: Applications due by 11:59 pm
• March 27 – April 7: Interviews – Applicants will be contacted via e-mail to set up their interview
• April 28: Letters of Acceptance go out
• June 11 (10-1:30 pm) more date options to come:
-CIT 101 Training, You need to attend this if you have never been a CIT before
• June 13 or 15 (6-7 pm):
-CIT 101 Training Refresher, You need to attend one of these nights if you were a CIT in 2022
• June 20 or 22 (6-8 pm):
-CIT 102 Training, You need to attend one of these nights. (REQUIRED TO BE A CIT)
• July 5 – August 25: Summer Camp: Adventure Camp, Elite Sports, and Mini Sports
• July 10 – 21, July 31 – August 11: Baseball Camp
• July 24 – 28: Softball Camp
• August 14 – 18: Tee Ball

This program requires a three-week commitment as well as a mandatory training prior to the beginning of summer.
