Boys & Girls Clubs Summer Camps help kids grow and have fun by exploring the outdoors, building self-confidence and independence, learning core values, developing life skills, and—most importantly—being active.

Each week, imaginative themes and activities provide an engaging atmosphere for hands-on learning and exploration. While camp is packed with fun activities, we also make sure to supply enough choice time that gives kids the chance to build new friendships or simply hang out with their favorite counselor.

Although each camp varies, you can expect these types of activities throughout the summer.

7:00 am – Arrival and Choice Time: Think of Choice time as a more structured free time.

9:30 a.m. – Group meeting and Icebreakers: This is the perfect way to get to know fellow campers and counselors and build excitement for the day’s adventures

10:00 am – Group Outside Games: Whether it’s an epic game of tag, Sharks and Minos, or team-building challenges, Group Games are about fostering teamwork, movement, and fun! These games help campers develop coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills in a playful and supportive setting while enjoying the outdoors.

10:45 am – Summer Brain Gain: To keep young minds sharp, campers participate in literacy activities such as; journaling, interactive reading puzzles, and math games that promote summer learning. These activities are designed to be fun and engaging, ensuring kids continue to grow academically over summer break.

11:45 am – Lunch: Campers get to refuel, relax, and connect with friends.

12:30 pm – 4:00 pm – Daily Group Activities & Field Trips: Afternoons at camp are packed with exciting group activities! Depending on the day, campers may participate in water play, craft hours, science experiments, or enjoy visits from special guests. Many clubs also use this time for off-site field trips to explore new places and experiences. Whether splashing in the sun, discovering new hobbies, or going on an adventure, afternoons at camp are full of fun and discovery.

4:00 pm – Close – Extended Camp: as the day winds down, this choice time period allows Campers to explore their interests, whether it’s playing a game, reading, or participating in an outdoor adventure. Choice time fosters independence, creativity, and social connections.
