At Boys & Girls Clubs of King County, back-to-school season isn’t just about books and backpacks; it’s about fun and creating unforgettable moments for families. We know that young people feel excited and confident about a new school year when they have a new backpack and a great haircut. We also know that parents and caregivers feel a sense of relief when a few back-to-school expenses are taken of for them.

Our recent back-to-school events at our Federal Way, Kirkland, and Smilow Rainier Vista Club have been spectacular, and we still have a few to go!

Going back to school can be a challenging transition. That’s why we try to make our back-to-school events fun. With face painters at Federal Way and Smilow Rainer Vista, Drag artists at Southwest, and music playing throughout the day, we are here to be excited about going back to school.

But it doesn’t stop there – we’re also serving free meals, providing groceries for families, fresh haircuts, and abundant resources for kids and families. Families learned more about the club and athletic programs while also connecting with other community organizations like Gifts of Hope, which aims to connect youth and families to resources in their communities.
