We are thrilled to share that Boys & Girls Clubs of King County has been selected to join the Youth Impact Network, a national Club initiative launching in May 2025. Over the course of 14 months, we’ll be working with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) and peer organizations across the country to strengthen the quality and consistency of the Club Experience.

Leading this important work for our Clubs are Carlee Hoover, Program Services Director, and Nerrisah Townsend, Area Director. Together, they’ll guide our organization through a deeper investment in staff development, youth experience, and continuous improvement of our existing programs.

“I’m excited that we’re not only doing great work, but now we’re building the systems to show it, sustain it, and grow it. We have the tools, we have the passion, and now we’ll have an even stronger structure behind it,” shares Carlee Hoover.

What’s included in the Youth Impact Network:

• Monthly coaching and learning sessions with BGCA and peer Clubs
• In-person workshops at BGCA’s 2025 and 2026 National Conferences
• Hands-on training in high-quality youth development practices
• Tools and support for using data to drive real improvements
• Building consistent site-level Program Quality routines
• Sharing best practices across organizations to drive wider impact

This opportunity is about building out a culture of continuous learning, data-driven decision-making, and deep community engagement at every level of our organization.

As Carlee shared during a recent conversation, “This is about more than gathering data. It’s about using it in real time to remove barriers, strengthen relationships, and create Clubs where every young person feels a true sense of belonging, connection, and growth.”
