Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Family (DCYF) Requirements

As a requirement of the DCYF, it is necessary for individuals interested in one of our licensed sites to possess a STARS ID number and a Portable Background Check with a "Cleared" status prior to commencing work. The process can be initiated by visiting merit.dcyf.wa.gov.
