COUNTLESS POSITIVE STORIES came out of this year’s Sounders TeamWork Internship, and it would be impossible to revisit them all. At each Sounders match, YouthForce interns leapt out of their comfort zones and into an exciting world of work at CenturyLink Field. They worked together in teams, greeted tens of thousands of fans, and played a crucial role in creating an amazing game day experience for Seattle’s soccer fans. Global Visionaries is a Seattle non-profit that "facilitates a multi-year youth leadership program with an emphasis on social and environmental justice.
On Saturday, October 13th, representatives from more than 35 local organizations came out to bring opportunities to more than 100 Seattle-area youth. 2018 Summer Doorways Intern, Miracle, will represent Kaiser Permanente and share information about jobs in healthcare at this year's Youth Resource Fair. This summer, 30 interns were accepted into the Doorways Internship Program and placed into 14 partner sites around Seattle. Miracle was the only one of her peers to be placed as an intern at Kaiser Permanente’s Renton Administrative Campus and she was just thrilled when they invited her to stay on past the program’s end. Cafe Red has quickly become a staff favorite and a perfect excuse to visit our interns while drinking a deliciously crafted latte.
