Boys & Girls Clubs of King County’s Youth of the Year, Tanzil H. won the 2024 Washington State title in March. She went on to compete at the 2024 Pacific Regional Youth of the Year competition in California.

We are extremely proud of Tanzil for representing Boys & Girls of King County at the regional competition. Tanzil was the first representative from Boys & Girls Clubs of King County to make it to the Pacific Regional competition in over a decade. What an incredible milestone for Tanzil and the whole Club community.

Although Tanzil is no longer competing for Nationals, she and one other candidate were selected to deliver their full speeches during the event. This honor highlights Tanzil’s outstanding public speaking ability and her commitment to the Club.

Tanzil, a senior in High School and Keystone Club president, has a real impact on our community and in her school. She is committed to promoting equity in Clubs, giving members a platform to influence Club programs, and ensuring all youth have access to high-quality afterschool programs, which is why she went as far as she did.
