Dear Boys & Girls Clubs of King County community,
It has been my honor to lead this organization for the past two and a half years. Since stepping into the role of President/CEO, I have been working hard to ensure we are headed on a path for growth and success. Together, we have accomplished so much and with your continued support, we will continue to do so for years to come.
This past year, we celebrated 75 years of youth development throughout the region. We have implemented new systems to better serve our young people, with safety and quality being top of mind. With your unwavering support, we are in a better financial position today than we were two years ago and are heading into our next chapter from a place of strength.
At this time, it saddens me to announce my departure as President/CEO. I am proud of the work we’ve accomplished together during my tenure and have great confidence in the heart and talent of the Boys & Girls Club community in carrying on this critical work. The Board of Directors, led by our Board Chair, Richard Harris, has outlined a plan to identify my replacement over the course of the next few months. They will be in touch soon and keep you updated on the progress.
This organization holds a special place in my heart and I will remain a steadfast supporter.
Sincerely,
Dr. Lisa Chin
Here are some recent mission highlights I’m proud to share:
531 Days of Summer
This past summer, we welcomed 2,158 kids and teens through our doors for our summer camp programs! Our team of more than 750 staff and volunteers poured their hearts, minds, and attention into 10 weeks of long days and thousands of energetic kids and teens. Youth look to us to provide constant entertainment, adventure, and opportunities to learn. We planned and facilitated 531 days of summer camp across 21 locations and I am so proud of what we accomplished!
Digging Deep on Quality and Safety
At Boys & Girls Clubs, we strive to set the standard of quality and safety when school is out. Our young people, staff, and community deserve a space that is fun, enriching, and also physically and emotionally safe. This year, we are digging deep to explore ways we can continue our commitment to protect every child who is entrusted to our care.
