Kids, Sun, and Fun at Summer Field Day!

During past Field Days, our Club kids gathered with our team members, sponsors, and community partners at Husky Stadium to have fun, enjoy the sun, and take on physical challenges that support healthy lifestyles.  This year’s Field Day may have looked different, but it didn’t prevent our Club kids and teams from having a ton of fun playing safely together, apart.

Outdoor and indoor activities were combined with safe distancing, masks, and enhanced Club safety protocols during COVID-19. Kids enjoyed a day of exercise, hydrating drinks, and snacks. Kids played basketball and gymnastics, safely spaced, indoors. Ten safely spaced outdoor stations provided kids with exciting challenges.

Activities included:

  • Soccer Penalty Kicks
  • Team Fitness Relay
  • Taekwondo Session
  • Agility Shuttle
  • Volleyball
  • Yoga Session
  • Martial Arts
  • Basketball
  • Gymnastics
  • Football Accuracy Toss
  • Hula Hoops

Thank you, valued partner, Safeway!

The day’s focus on helping kids excel in personalized physical growth through play also included yummy Otter Pops donated by Safeway.

The Seawolves took time to stop by our Federal Way 8th Club too!

“I love the diverse programming opportunities Boys & Girls Clubs provide young people in our community. I’ve experienced first hand how sports have taught and given me confidence, compassion, respect, and most of all, valuing relationships. I truly believe future Seattle Seawolves players will come out of these Clubs, so we must demonstrate these values first as role models in our respective communities.”  Shalom Sunuila, Seattle Seawolves Captain

We continue doing whatever it takes to keep support our Club families safely during this once-in-a-generation pandemic. Operating funds are critical to keeping our Clubs open.

Please consider donating today, so that we can be here for our community now, and in the future.
