Dear Friend,

Earlier this month I announced to the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County team that I have decided to retire.

I will continue to be focused on my role as President & CEO until a new leader begins work. The Board of Directors has begun a search to fill the position by partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The search committee is comprised of multiple members of the Board of Directors and two leaders from the Clubs.

I’m so fortunate to have spent the past five and a half years with outstanding Club leaders, passionate volunteers, and inspiring champions who are focused on the importance of providing a safe and inclusive place for all youth.

We have all accomplished so much. From staying open for all-day programs throughout the pandemic to providing $1M in Club scholarships a year, to launching our vital Mental Wellness Program and services, to embracing the importance of youth voice, and, most importantly, committing to becoming an anti-racist organization.

The Board of Directors values the relentless focus on serving more youth with culturally relevant, high-quality programs. Their goal is to identify and recruit the next CEO who shares that same passion and will continue fostering a continuous improvement culture.
