Leadership-Update

Boys & Girls Clubs of King County thanks and celebrates Richard Harris for two years of dedicated service as the Chair of the Board of Directors! Richard guided the organization through a leadership transition and played an instrumental role in growing the organization’s fundraising program.

“After I joined the Board, it took a while, but I eventually discovered that I could best contribute to the mission by helping to raise money, and by helping to build our community of supporters,” said Richard. “I (literally) love introducing new people to our community. They love it, too!”

Richard will remain a member of the Board Executive Committee as the Past Chair.

Welcome, Tom Herche! Starting July 1, Tom, a longtime supporter and volunteer, will serve as Board Chair. “I first got involved with Boys & Girls Clubs of King County 20 years ago through the Downtown Seattle Rotary Club. “

As a deeply engaged volunteer, Tom has been a key partner in the organization’s growth and is eager to build on our success during his tenure.

“I am passionate about youth development, and I believe this organization fills a vital role in our community by providing a safe space, mentoring, and opportunities for the kids who need us most,” said Tom.
