Longtime partner Microsoft has played a vital role in supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of King County through the dedication of time, resources, thought leadership, in-kind donations, and volunteerism. Microsoft works to support every level of our work, with 21 Microsoft employees sitting on our Club Advisory Boards and hundreds more involved at our Clubs through volunteering, coaching, and financial donations.

In April 2018, a group of Microsoft employees and their families spent the day at our Federal Way, Wallingford, and Ballard Clubs as part of National Volunteer Week. The volunteers helped with everything from landscaping and painting to cleaning, organizing, and general maintenance. We are so grateful for their support in helping to maintain the Clubs for the thousands of kids who walk through our doors.

 Supporting Kids During the Holidays

Every December, Boys & Girls Clubs of King County participates in Microsoft’s Giving Tree, which helps nonprofits brighten the giving season for local families with gifts donated by Microsoft employees. In 2017, Boys & Girls Clubs received 1,182 gifts that went directly to our kids and provided those in need with gifts on their wish list.

Commitment to Giving Back

Whether through a group of employees coming to teach a computer science workshop, a donation of computers to our Clubs, or financial support from employees during Microsoft’s Giving Campaign, the company’s deep involvement with our Clubs plays an important role in our ability to serve more than 26,000 kids each year.

We thank Microsoft for its generous partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs and continued commitment to a bright future for all!
