Commitment and Mission to supporting Race, Equity, and Inclusion at Boys & Girls Clubs of King County

In our ongoing process to be a more anti-racist organization, we commit to using race, equity, and inclusion to evaluate and guide our policies, practices, and procedures to eliminate disparities and implement an inclusive process for receiving community input. We will listen to those who may not have been heard before and commit ourselves to learning and growing from our mistakes. Educational programming!
Provide access to education and training on race, equity, inclusion, cultural humility, and building a culturally responsive organization ​
Access communications
Access communications by departments to ensure consistent procedures are defined and implemented with feedback from all levels of the organization and communities served​
Empower young people
Empower young people, especially those who need us most, by supporting youth-centric Club experience through culturally relevant, inclusive, and diverse programming
Support staff
Support staff time specifically for coordination and developing an equitable, culturally responsible, and trauma-informed organization ​

Club Networking Groups

Our Club Networking groups provide a safe space for like-minded Boys & Girls Clubs of King County team members to embrace their full selves while cultivating an anti-racist culture throughout the organization.

In this ongoing process, we commit to using the principles of race, equity, and inclusion to evaluate and guide our policies, practices, and procedures, eliminate disparities, and implement an inclusive process for receiving community input.
