K-5th Program

The Salmon Bay Boys & Girls Club offers before and after school programs serving Salmon Bay K-8 and Loyal Heights elementary schools. Vans pick up kids from Loyal Heights each afternoon, while a staff member walks Salmon Bay students to the Club.

Hours Of Operation

Morning Program: 7:00 a.m. until school starts
Afternoon Program: End of school day until 6:00 p.m.

Daily Afternoon Schedule (M/T/Th/F)

2:30 – Kids from Loyal Heights arrive and have free time in the Main Room
3:25-4:15 – Kids from all other schools arrive, snack is served and youth either go on the playground, or play a gym game (weather dependent)

4:20-4:50 – Half Time: all youth do homework, math, writing, or reading

5:00-5:30  Activity Time: staff facilitate varying activities (science, crafts, art, theater, writing, gym games, etc.)

5:35-6:00  Free choice in the Main Room

Wednesday Afternoon Schedule

1:15  Kids from Loyal Heights arrive and have free time in the Main Room

2:10-3:20  Kids from Salmon Bay arrive and go to various clubs (Torch Club, Clever Kids, STEM, Magic Club, Cooking Club, Knitting Club and more!) or have free time.

3:25  M/T/Th/F schedule resumes

Throughout the school year, we also have various monthly and seasonal programs such as Youth of the Month, Pre-CIT, and Dungeons and Dragons.
