The first step to leaving a positive impact on somebody’s life is building a strong relationship.
Adam originally started coming to the Club for Torch Club, but he quickly learned that he enjoyed the leadership and service so much that he wanted to become even more involved. The positive relationships that he built with staff exceeded his expectations, and Adam values the relationship-building skills he gained at the Club. He remains impressed with the time and care the staff take to get to know each youth as an individual, including their hobbies, likes and dislikes.
Adam has a bright future ahead of him and hopes to become a chemical engineer. Adam has scored in the 99th percentile of the SAT, maintains a 4.0 average, and is a 3-time recipient of the Scholar Athlete award.
I have always felt that the Boys & Girls Club staff goes above and beyond what is expected of them in order to help each of us develop as individuals.
Thanks to Chris Hagen for the beautiful photos!
