This month, the Salmon Bay Boys & Girls Club began the third year of their youth leadership and work preparedness program for 4th and 5th graders, the Pre-Counselor in Training (or Pre-C.I.T.) program. This program nurtures leadership and independence among the 4th and 5th graders as they apply for the job, go through Pre-C.I.T. orientation, and help out with the kindergartners alongside the counselors. K-5th Program The Salmon Bay Boys & Girls Club offers before and after school programs serving Salmon Bay K-8 and Loyal Heights elementary schools. Vans pick up kids from Loyal Heights each afternoon, while a staff member walks Salmon Bay students to the Club. Hours Of Operation Morning Program: 7:00 a.m. until school starts Afternoon Program: End of school day until 6:00 p.m. Daily Afternoon Schedule (M/T/Th/F) 2:30 – Kids from Loyal Heights arrive and have free time in the Main Room 3:25-4:15 – Kids from all other schools
